Dr. David Dodick is Chief Advisor of Research and Scientific Development at the American Migraine Foundation. He is Chief Science Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and Co-Chair at Atria Academy of Science & Medicine. He is also professor Emeritus at the Mayo Clinic, Consultant for Mayo Clinic Global, Guest Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Affiliate Professor at the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Dodick currently chairs the American Brain Foundation and the International Headache Society’s Global Patient Advocacy Coalition (IHS-GPAC). Peter Goadsby FRS is Director, NIHR King’s Clinical Research Facility, Professor of Neurology, King’s College London, an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at King’s College Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond St, London, UK; and a National Institute for Health and Social Care Research Senior Investigator. He is Professor emeritus of Neurology, University of California, Los Angeles. His major research interests are in the basic mechanisms of primary headache disorders, such as migraine and cluster headache, in both experimental and clinical settings, and translating these insights into better management. Peter Goadsby obtained his medical degree and training at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, and neurology training with James W. Lance and clinical neurophysiology with David Burke. After post-doctoral work in New York with Don Reis at Cornell, and Jacques Seylaz, Paris, and post-graduate neurology training at Queen Square, London with C David Marsden, Andrew Lees, Anita Harding and W Ian McDonald, he returned to UNSW, and the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney as a consultant neurologist and became an Associate Professor of Neurology. Andrea Harriott, MD, PhD is a Neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Harriott has dual subspecialty training in Vascular Neurology and Headache Medicine, completing two fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital and The John R. Graham Headache Center. Dr. Harriott’s clinical research interests center on the association between migraine and vascular disease in young women. Dr. Harriott’s basic science research uses an optogenetic technique to elicit the electrical events responsible for migraine aura in rodents as a non-invasive model of episodic and chronic migraine aura to discover sex and gonadal hormone mechanisms of migraine pain and the role of the hypothalamus in mediating sex differences in migraine pathobiology.

Henrik Schytz is a consultant in neurology and associate professor at the Danish Headache Center and Department of Neurology, Rigshospitalet Glostrup, University of Copenhagen.

Dr. Schytz received his PhD. and Dr.Med.Sci. degrees at the University of Copenhagen. He is the recipient of the Harold Wolff-John Graham Award for Headache/Facial Pain Research and the G. Callixte KUATE TEGUEU is Professor of Neurology (Epilepsy, Headache, Neurophysiology) in the Department of Internal Medicine and Specialties at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, The University of Yaoundé 1, Yaoundé, Cameroon, and Head of the Neurology Department at the Douala Laquintinie Hospital (University Teaching Hospital), Douala, Cameroon. Hakan Ashina, MD, is a Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Harvard Medical School, USA. Professor Jon Stone is Professor of Neurology at the University of Edinburgh and Consultant Neurologist with NHS Lothian. Jon was a medical student in Edinburgh before working in Oxford, Leeds and Newcastle and then returning to Scotland. Since 1999 Jon has promoted a new transparent, pragmatic and multidisciplinary approach to FND which had been a neglected and stigmatised problem In 2009 he made the first website (and now app) for patients with FND at www.neurosymptoms.org which is now widely used across the world. He has published over 300 articles in the area including large cohort, mechanism and treatment studies. and led on new diagnostic criteria for FND in DSM-5 and ICD-11. Dr. Amr Hassan received his degree in M.B.B.Ch (Medicine and Surgery) from Cairo University, Egypt in 2001. He completed his Neurology residency at Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital which is one of the biggest hospitals in the Middle east and North Africa. Dr Hassan has obtained his Master degree in Neuropsychiatry in 2007 and completed his Doctoral degree in 2010 at Cairo University, Egypt. Currently, he is a Consultant and Professor of Neurology at Kasr Al Ainy Hospital, Cairo University. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology since 2016. Dr Hassan is a co-opted IHS board member since 2021. He is also a board member of Headache chapter of the Egyptian Society of Neurology and the Council of Egyptian Fellowship of Neurology and head of its training committee. Dr Hassan has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed articles in Headache in adults and children.

Dr. Shuu-Jiun Wang is a practicing neurologist and the Chair Professor and Vice Dean of College of Medicine, NYCU. He is currently the Vice Superintendent of Taipei Veterans General Hospital after serving as Director of the Neurological Institute from 2017 to 2023. He was the President of Taiwan Neurological Society from 2017 to 2019, the founding President of the Taiwan Headache Society from 2005 to 2011 and the Chair of the Asian Regional Consortium of Headache (ARCH) from 2019 to 2021. Dr. Wang has authored more than 500 scientific papers. He enjoys teaching students and was awarded 2011 Outstanding in Teaching by National Yang-Ming University, 2018 Medical Education Contribution Award by Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He is interested in clinical and neuroimaging research of headache disorders focusing on chronic migraine, cluster headache, reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndromes and spontaneous intracranial hypotension.

He serves as an associate editor of the journals Cephalalgia, Journal of Headache and Pain and others. Dr. Wang was awarded the Bruce S. Schoenberg's International Neuroepidemiology Award by the American Academy of Neurology in Washington DC in 1994, the Seymour Solomon Lecture Award by the American Headache Society in LA in 2010, the G. Nappi Cluster Headache Award by the European Headache Society, 5th European Headache and Migraine Trust International Congress (EHMTIC) in Glasgow, UK in 2016 and the MacDonald-Critchley Lecture Award by the Migraine Trust Virtual Symposium in London in 2020. He was also awarded Outstanding Research Award by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan twice in 2012 and 2018.

Lars Jacob Stovner, MD, PhD (born 1953) is emeritus professor of Neurology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science. He has been head of the department of neurology at St. Olavs hospital (1999-2001) and of the Department of neuroscience at NTNU (2009-2016), and head of Norwegian Advisory Unit on Headaches from its start in 2000 till 2020. Since 2009 he has been director of the charitable non-governmental organization Lifting the Burden which has official relation to the World Health Organization (WHO). In this capacity, he has been involved with the Global burden of Disease project to document the prevalence and burden of headache, published reviews on headache prevalence worldwide, and also guidelines on how to measure headache prevalence, burden and cost. Since 2003 he has been involved in the estimation of the health economic consequences of headache, as contributor to the “Cost of disorders of the Brain in Europe” by the European Brain Council. Professor Stovner’s research on headache started under his predecessor professor Ottar Sjaastad. Stovner’s research group has performed several studies on the treatment of migraine, cluster headache and cervicogenic headache, both medicines and surgical approaches. In particular, the group has developed an AII blocker, candesartan, and lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor, as useful migraine prophylactics. The research group has focused on epidemiological research on the causes and consequences of migraine and other headaches, mostly based on the HUNT study (large epidemiological survey). In Stovner’s group there is also extensive research with neurophysiological methods to elucidate what happens in the brain before, during, and after headache attacks, in order to better understand the underlying mechanisms.
